This is very much in keeping with the old style chests. Thick steel, sturdy drawers on ball bearing slides, and a really good finish. Nothing "homeowner quality" about this one. Just proves that Sears still has a few outstanding products. The manufacturer code is 706, and it doesn't show up on the old lists that are posted on line. Anyone know which company is associated with the 706 code?
This is a pretty nice toolbox stack. It may be a bit high for me, but it rolls and swings easily; so we'll see if I can work with this thing over the long term.

I'm pretty impressed for the price ---
Sweet set for sure!
I have been using a simple step to access my 1/2" stuff in both my SAE & metric boxes for a few years now due to adding mid boxes, but I needed the extra room the mid boxes offered.
Using the step is a minor, but necessary inconvenience for me.
Adding the mirror in the lid of the metric box helped measurably. Now I just need to find the time to do the same thing on the SAE box.

I like the mirror idea -- I'm a short guy these days, and shrinking more rapidly as old age sets in. I started out at 5'-9" back in my late teens and am now 5'-7" -- quite a drop, and a step stool and mirror is the right solution
i have heard of mirrors on the ceiling to keep an eye on your tool but never on the toolbox lid......... 8)
