Title: Old Heathkit Goodness
Post by: goodfellow on Jan 19, 2025, 11:19 AM
You guys are aware that I like to dabble in vintage testers and analyzers. Well, the biggest problem with most of that old equipment lies in faulty capacitors. You can test smaller ones with an VOM, but for larger caps, the only sure way to do a test is to use a high-voltage capacitor tester.

I found these two old Heathkit units at a swap meet -- $10

The other unit is a frequency generator used in diagnosing circuits for I/O thresholds. Used with an O-scope, these things are a very good diagnostic tool.
