Just an FYI, but I found out on GJ that Twertsy is selling his tools. So anybody local should give him a holler, because you know all the great stuff he has!
Any idea why?

Yeah -- didn't he also have a tool website of some sort? I know he was very passionate about good vintage boxes and hand tools. Also feel sorry for him in a way, because he'll only get pennies on the dollar for all that great stuff he's collected over the years.

He use to show pictures of some absolutely incredible stuff, in particular drool worthy vintage boxes as I recall.

He was a funny guy, the last picture I remember had a sea of toolboxes & display boards.
There was a Mustang in the back on a lift........ So here is my guess, forever reason needs to get it off the rack LOL..

I would hate to imagine how tough it would be to sell the contents of my shop. Especially SAE hand tools these days. Pennies on the dollar I suspect. If the prices I have paid for the huge amount of micrometers and other precision tools I have bought over the last couple years are any indication of real value, then machinist tool values and home shop tooling is underwater as well.

Hello
That is the way it always goes, never mind the head aces with buyers. When I decided it was time to start another layout. I ended up giving away thousands of dollars of trains, models and so on.

Why, because I did not want to store or spend the rest of my life trying to move stuff. No regrets, believe me. Muddy was a beneficiary of some of the giveaways
