Title: Black and Decker air tools
Post by: Uncle Buck on Mar 21, 2025, 05:30 AM
Anyone know who made B&D air tools back in the day?

They were quality tools in the 1970's.

I don't know if they ever made their own, but do recall that they did market a small angle head 3/8" drive air wrench that was a direct copy of the original Skil design. The Skil design was also copied by CP, and manufactured in Great Britain. I have the CP version, but the original was a Skil invention. All B&D did was change the badging.

The wrench in question is the one on the left.

I cannot imagine that B&D made their own stuff was why I asked. I have my dad's B&D air chisel circa mid 1970's.  It seemed  to be decent quality and always did everything I needed. So much so that I never found need to replace it.
