I don't know if this is as common of a thing these days, but my grandfather always had one hanging in his shop and my dad had one hanging in the garage for as long as I could remember.
I picked up this CLC HUSKY pouch at goodwill last week and have gotten it modified / setup just how I want.

I have several pouches, but they haven't been used in a few years. These days I keep everything in canvas tool tote -- easier on an old man's back and hips.

For a small tool assortment like this a basic little tote would definitely be very ideal.
I still like a tool pouch for the tools being right there at hand, but I'm still young enough to get away with it.
I used to, for ladder work. It mostly stayed in the shop, as lighter weight screwguns and a screwbag/belt was normally what I needed on the ladder.

Not a pouch, but I have this, full of tools now as I had just cleaned it up there, to bring along for any project. It was my old tool tote when I did inspections for the PUC in the bay area, and now it mostly gets used when my wife sends me to her friends to take care of something. Around the house I have tools on each floor, just so I don't need to go down to my shop and get distracted when I need to be taking care of something.
Do you all have different ones, or do you fill them up with tools you expect to use for the job? (say plumbing verses electrical, etc)
This is why I found less use for one as I had a few smaller toolboxes for tasks.

That looks awesome.
I'll bet it's very idea to work out of.

I have this small pouch I just set up, the bigger one I already had is still set up with larger tools, I've got a little one set up for minor electrical repairs, plus I have my little TOYO st350 set up as my in the house box that I also take with me to do some repairs for my mom & grandmother.
This little one I can just clip to my pocket or belt if I'm doing a minor electrical repair like replacing an outlet or lamp cord or something like that.

I have a couple of lineman pouches about half the size of that, but always forget to use them.
I'll be on the ladder, juggling the drill and a handful of other stuff, not even thinking I could have made my life easier.
