Title: Ethanol proof? fuel line
Post by: jabberwoki on Aug 03, 2025, 05:07 PM
68 eldo running a carb.
Just want to replace the factory rubber lines with something that will last with modern fuel.

I don't have an answer either Jabber. Hose brands that were top of the line US made a few years ago are gone and have been replaced with import products.

If I wanted to be absolutely safe, and if I had the space, then I would seriously consider making my own metal fuel lines right to the carburetor.

Ethanol free not available near you? That's about your only guarantee.

Look for rubber line that is rated for Submersible and go from there. The submersible rating will be for in a fuel tank where pump connections are made and, silly enough, submersed in fuel. So it should be good for alcohol fuels. Gates brand would be my choice but there are others. Might need to sus out a industrial supplier in your area, and don't baulk at the price you probably don't need much and doing it again because the hose failed isn't worth those extra "dimes(dollars)".
