I guess this is a good place to put stuff like this. Not real carpentry but just wood working mostly with scrap and old pallets and such I find on the side of the road or at the dumpster at the curent employer. They love it when I take it as they are generally too lazy to actually put it into the dumpster and leave it beside it.

Middle daughter is getting married in the fall and wanted some "boats" to put candles and flowers in on the tables for the reception. So I whipped these up with a router and some scrap 2x6. Initially did em with just a straight cut but she wanted the inner edge broke down so we hit the HF and came out with these.

Bought this little reconditioned trim unit for another project(Doing up 80% lowers but we will keep that on the down low) and I thought it would be just the trick. Unfortunately the second bit was the largest we could do with the stock base on it.

So to get the bigger round over we got out the Milwaukee. I really like it. We also have a craftsman I don't like and a couple porter cable units but they are in the attic and the car Is in the way.

Also dug out this round table my wife received decades ago from a lady she used to go see when she was a CNA. Oldest daughter decided she needs a "new" coffee table but it must be sturdy. Wife was ready to part with it. So I'll get the legs on it and away it goes. It actually came with legs and they made many moves around the country with is but I cant local them currently.

I glued these oak 1 bys up for a little project a decade or so ago and they didn't get used, can't remember why but If you haven't figured it out yet I rarely discard anything I think I might be able to use. So we will cut the two in half and have four legs about 13 inches or so long. Just need to hit the hardware and get some of these type fasteners for the table top to leg joint like these.

Good stuff there TexasT. Always nice to see passionate people with good tools, make or repair something.
Thanks for the props.
I've been burned(scorched) by low brow tools. I've read the lesser brands(ryobi and such) are good and the good stuff(dewalt, milwaukee, makita and such) isn't as good but if I can get a "reconditioned" unit, I figure it has been through way more qc than those straight off the line tools of any make.
I'm too cheap to actually buy lumber and wood for my dilly dallying, and pick up all kinds of things off the side of the road. Crazy the hard wood that is inside a couch or chair. Disassembly is kinda therapeutic and sometimes I get some good pleather for stuff like a pad cover for my old mongoose bmx bike and the recover of my rolly seat. I ever got to put more cushion in it.
Check your local Habitat for Humanity Restore location for wood. My local store has a huge selection of wood dirt cheap for projects, even oak and other hardwood. Not much dimension lumber like 2" x 4" wood and the like though.
I even bought a good full size truck load of cut and split fire wood for $50.
