Title: Protective Arm Sleeves
Post by: Mr_Breeze on Jul 03, 2026, 12:14 PM
I'm getting ready to do a transmission pan drop/filter change/fluid refill on my 2016 F150.  Since Ford had a better idea and eliminated the dipstick tube, I am forced to check the final fluid level from under the vehicle.

To make it more fun, the final fill level must be checked at operating temperature with the vehicle running.  So I'm going to be sticking my arm up between the transmission and a fully heated catalytic converter.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a protective sleeve I can slip on to minimize the chances of getting burned?  Been shopping the Jungle and nobody really says what kind of temperatures their product are good for.
