Title: Nice Excel Brop Lid Tool Box
Post by: goodfellow on Jan 18, 2025, 03:43 PM
I was in need of a smaller top box for my workbench to organize smaller tools that are constantly needed, but always need to be dug out of the large drawer box. Smaller shallow drawer boxes rule --.

I went to Sears and didn't even look at the homeowner grade, and the professional grade ball bearing boxes were quite expensive when compared to other choices. While looking around, I stumbled across this Excel box at a local retailer. The price was almost $200, but I liked the drawers and the handles -- the box was reminiscent of the older Craftsman ball bearing boxes of the late 80's and early 1990's. Nice front dust cover, heavy gauge steel, strong side handles and lots of shallow drawers.  Although the price was high, I started to look around for an alternative, and just by chance found the same Excel box on Sears' website for $113 -- SOLD!!

It's much better than low grade Craftsman and much less expensive than Craftsman Pro. A nicely made box that's a solid throwback to vintage styling and value.
