General Tool and Machine Discussion / Re: Latest tool buys

Some of my carbide burr bits were missing teeth. I don't remember where I got them.

So I got this set from my Snap-On dealer. They look pretty nice. He claims they're lifetime warranty. I couldn't find that in their website.

However hoping I don't need to I feel he'll honor it either way.

I also bought this HJE ENDERES 6 in 1 because it's orange ( they have a bunch of colors ).

These are interesting because like the original 4in1 made by the Four in one tool co out of Jamestown NY the Philips are on one bit and the flat blades on the other.
Most these days you get the large sizes of each on one bit and the small sizes on the other.
It's also interesting because the the phillips bit is shorter on top of being a smaller diameter.

This is going to replace the vintage  early four in one that I keep in my small basic repairs tool belt.

I just got these Vessel power grip striking cap screwdrivers in from HJE and I am extremely impressed, the ergonomics of the handles are absolutely amazing.

The grip at the largest point is the same as a William's / snapon hard handle, but they offer much better precision fingertip control.
They kind of encompass everything I like about the William's and the old Proto Bet-r-grip.

The William's are great, but large for my hands and I only use them when I really need some torque.
I already looked and they don't offer a stubby #2,so this pair is all I'll be buying.

An HJE order arrived today, a few things for me and some gift items.

The tool roll is for my cousin, then he and my uncle will each get one of the HJE heavy duty flat blade screwdrivers ( obviously they're going to be used as pry bars )
Plus I threw in 3 of these WW2 surplus bomb tethers just because they were cheap and are cool because they're related to bombs.

The rest was for me.
A 4" Jawco 1/4 flex extension
Another R.Murphy sheeps foot knife
An HJE Enderes 6in1 because they had orange.
And last but not least a pair of Vessel power grip screwdrivers that wanted to try out.
I am thoroughly impressed with them to say the least.

Glad to hear you are doing well.

Always enjoy your posts and projects. Your cars are magnificent you have a very impressive collection.

I am with you on the mind part - I'm still the same 18 year old in my mind I have always been including my puerile sense of humor.

I was diagnosed with Cancer in December 2024. And finished with treatments five months ago. Radiation sure has its' way at taking the wind out one's sails. My entire life, I've always been an overachiever, while having a positive attitude. And determined to regain my strength that it took away. Though age has a way of creeping up with oneself. In my mind it's nothing more than the number of candles on the cake. Even being an octogenarian I cannot see myself ever living in any kind of retirement home, nor with any of my eight children. Today I may not be as fast; but I'll always be  steadfast. Far from being burnt out...

Some how the picture of my Packard didn't appear on my last post.

Isn't it ironic that we used to bitch and complain about the cars at the time, but when compared to more recent model years, those old car engines and electronics now seem like quality designs.

I'm a firm believer in the notion that the heyday of modern cars were the years between around 1995 and 2010  - Give or take a few years depending on the manufacturer.
