Anyone Reload?

Just curious.
Buying factory ammo here in Kommifornia has become irritating.

Thankfully, I have a couple of presses and dies for everything I shoot except for .22 and shotgun.

A reasonable supply of components as well.

Any suggestions for a once-fired brass vendor? I'd like to stock up on a few.

I don't know that I will live long enough to get into reloading.  I was planning on it when I started my cancer treatment, then the coowner had his accident and I went to seven days a week while doing chemo, and then my reloading friend was diagnosed with cancer and died ten days later.
Sometimes life gets in the way.

But being in California, you need to make sure reloading components aren't part of their "ammo licensing/ban" crud.

Then, may I ask what brand press do you use/prefer?  My friend was going to hook me up on a Dillon, so that is what I am leaning on, although I don't know who was upgrading theirs that I was looking at a deal on.

Never got into reloading, but was fortunate enough to have a friend that really enjoyed the hobby. I scored some really good deals on primers, powder, and bullets back in the early 2000s. When the COVID mess hit in 2020 I just handed all those components and materials over to him and we both had plenty of ammo to plink and practice with.
Somebody hold my beer.....

So far, reloading components aren't on California's hit list. The majority of the State Legislature isn't smart enough to think that far out of the box. There, I said it.

For presses, I have a couple of Lee units. They are inexpensive and have great customer service. If something breaks, they will generally have a new part on the way within a day. For free. I also like their "Breech Lock" feature, where you set up a die in the adaptor and can swap it out with a quarter-turn and not fiddle with adjusting the dies every single time you change one.

This might seem odd, as I live in the same zipcode as the RCBS factory (12 miles away), but the Lees have worked well for me. I do have some RCBS dies, as they seem smoother than other brands.

The Dillon stuff seems to have a good following, especially the progressive systems. Honestly, they are expensive and I am not in that much of a hurry. I load single-stage and inspect every case, primer, powder load, etc.
