I could easily spend the best part of a day at an event like this! There's something special about the mix of
mechanical art and the personal stories behind each build. You can go from admiring a pristine vintage restoration to geeking out over a custom engine swap, all within the same show...

When I got off work today I took this little Schrade 18OT apart, eliminated the liner lock, converted it from a swinden key to conventional through pin construction, and replaced the delrin with stag.

I have a hammer addiction,  and a 1/4 ratchet addiction, and a pry bar addiction,  and a screwdriver addiction, and well I just have an addiction to hand tools in general.

Changed the oil in the daily beater. Had a vibration in the front for awhile now. So check the front end out.

LF tire was to the cords on the inside and bubble up in spots. So I swapped on my extra set which is also in poor shape but will work till I can get new ones.

I don't check on my daily as I should because it's just me that drives. So I'm not terrible worried unless it's something serious like it doesn't have brakes or something like that. Just check the oil.... When I remember.

I go over the van and pickup with fine tooth combs because the wife and kids ride in them.

I'm not a fan of this GM thing so I'm just running it into the ground but I take care enough that it's safe enough to pass inspection and not a danger to me or anyone else in the road

Saturday of the long Easter weekend, Friday and Monday are public holidays, sitting in Memorial Park having lunch (from local farmer's market). Considering it is the second month of autumn, it is a pleasant day, 20C/68F.

Amusement for a Thursday, the arborist I've been talking to today has the surname Leef.
