I picked this up yesterday at HD, it was supposed to be $20 but rang up to $25 I think they're still worth that but I wouldn't pay too much more.

Goes from 14"-32".

And you can detach the light to stick it to things, not necessary but why not include the feature I guess.

It's rechargeable,  has a battery indicator, a decent runtime, and seems to have decent output.
I don't buy the 800 lumin rating for high mode, but it's fairly bright.

There are a few things I don't like though.
The 1st is the flashing mode that it has, I see absolutely zero purpose for this nonsense.
It's not even red for roadside use or something.

I also don't like that you have to cycle through modes to turn it off, but at least it starts off in high mode.
It has H M L & flashing and after a minute or something of use ( it doesn't say anywhere) it will go straight to off when you push the button, I guess for a work light you're most often going to be using it longer than a minute but it still bothers me.
The thing basically has the user interface of a poorly designed off brand flashlight.

The last thing I don't like is the left and right indexing with a very low number of positions, yes you can just turn the whole thing but if it's say on the corner of my work bench or something turning it could put one leg off the edge.
I'd like to be able to point just the light head itself in whatever position I need.
Pivoting it up and down is fine.

I may see if I can take the tripod apart and remove the detent mechanism.

I have a hammer addiction,  and a 1/4 ratchet addiction, and a pry bar addiction,  and a screwdriver addiction, and well I just have an addiction to hand tools in general.

I was able to modify it successfully by removing the indexing teeth from the mechanism with a dremel.
It still retains the spring and the screw that joins everything together which I was actually able to tighten further to keep the right amount of tension on it.
It was a quick 2 minute modification and if I had to do this again I could leave no evidence on the outside that it had ever been messed with.
Now this thing is significantly better.

I like it.  Can't have enough light for these old eyes
Also, looks plenty compact

I have found it quite useful so far.
