Recently took a road trip with my best friend. We've been friends since we were 13/14. Well long story short saw some interesting things a couple I took pix of. Here is the first. These two pix were taken in Upland, CA which is in San Bernardino County just east of LA county. It was in a large shopping centerparking lot. No repair shops in the center or adjacent. Maybe it was lunch time? Four of them.

Was there a harbor fright near by?
Maybe stocking up?

LOL that would be very funny.

No, no HF nearby. No pawnshops either.

Probably all the local guys having a routine lunch together. It's tough to be a tool truck vendor these days. The business model is getting much harder to sustain than in years past.

Somebody hold my beer.....

The Snap-On dealer model is basically a pyramid scheme.

I knew a couple of dealers that went under and basically lost everything.

Likely you're right they probably were grabbing some lunch.

I would not want to run a tool truck for any of them. Not the same business as it was.

It looks to me like the tool truck driver is basically a debt collector for a loan shark and they get a percentage of the vigorish. I don't think it matters much which truck it is the dealer is likely going to loose in the end.
