Have you guys kicked all of your OCD tool habits that may have gotten in the way of practicality ?

There are certain things I've had a hard time with that I'm slowly overcoming and others still not so much.

Needing to have complete screwdriver sets, I've learned that 2 or 3 primary drivers will tell me all I need to know about a handle shape and realized that I don't even use some of them.

I still haven't kicked the no skips mindset for sockets & wrenches though, and especially when it comes to small tool boxes / tool kits and wanting to have everything but the kitchen sink just in case.

One of the biggest OCD habits that I'm currently having a problem with is my obsession with filling empty space in kits and small boxes.
I'm working on getting my small new home projects belt / pouch ideally set up and the one I bought has 2 extra pockets that I don't really need.
I'm presently obsessed with trying to figure out what I can put in those 2 pockets because they're there and I don't like wasted space.

I'm thinking of a small cup / tray for screws & nails in one, and in the other my brain is stuck on the idea of some kind of small hand drill for pilot holes but can't turn up anything ideal and it's driving me crazy.
I have a hammer addiction,  and a 1/4 ratchet addiction, and a pry bar addiction,  and a screwdriver addiction, and well I just have an addiction to hand tools in general.

A snappy set that rarely gets use. But it is a set. Hahaha

Those craftsman were a "set" missing a few, but with the clearance price I couldn't pass em up. They live on the wall now and get some use as the ez grab units.

While I like a "complete" set, I will pick up bargains when they are presented. Those Williams are like the hard handle snapons I love so I "had" to have a set of those to go with the singles I actually use.

I have a couple drawers full of drivers and such too.  unless you have a use, those "extras" are just fillers taking up valuable real estate. This becomes something later in life as those drawers and other places get full of the "pickup" stuff that just accumulates whether you try or not. Unless you aren't a hoarder and just throw the extras away.

I organization and complete sets. However neither to the point I'd call OCD.

As a lot of my sets are older stuff there's off brand sockets or a odd wrench here and there.

yeah real OCD doesn't really exist for most people.
It's really just a stubborn mindset, you know you probably don't use this size or that but could eventually and incomplete sets just seem wrong because there's always that rare occasion.
