Maybe try building the puzzles onto a piece of double sided tape?

I have 3M 568 Positionable Mounting Adhesive and 3M 924 Adhesive Transfer Tape (which are both similar basically just the adhesive with no carrier just release paper on both sides) I use for mounting paper but I am unsure about long term stability on the titanium.

We should cement our understanding.

Yep a great way to weld a friendship.

Have you thought about maybe putting them inside those clear PVC coin sleeves that coin collectors use ?

Yes, but clarity is an issue it dulls the iridescent effect.

In fact I did a test with Melenix (similar to Mylar) but it distorted the image a little.

j.a.f.e., have you tried cyanoacrylate? i.e., "less-than-water-thin super glue".

A micro-drop of that instantly flows into any crevices and bonds. I used it when building R/C model aircraft and the instantaneous bond between dissimilar surfaces was incredible.

You need to be careful of the fumes, though. They will burn your nose and eyes.

Thanks Will. I have but it leaks to the front.

I have gotten some 3M emblem adhesive I will try.

It's times like this some superpowers would come in handy.

How about automotive trim and molding tape?

Something like 3M 3624. The stuff is pretty grippy, provided the surface is clean.

Tactical adhesion is what i am thinking.

Sounds like exactly the right idea! That stuff is beyond tenacious. And it won't leak between the cuts.

I like the way you think!

Thank you.

You are most welcome. I only thought of it because I recently bought a window air conditioner as the last few summers here have been brutal and I am tired of dealing with swamp coolers. Pump, pads, motors, water leaks, etc.

But this window A/C is designed (as they all are) for double-hung up-down slidey windows which pretty much don't exist in the western US. We have the sideways-slidey windows and the thing just doesn't fit right. As a result, it was making an obnoxious noise whenever the compressor turned on. Since I have a roll of the 3M 3624 tape right here in my desk drawer (doesn't everyone?) I found the source of the noise. Vibration between the front grill of the unit and the housing. I cut some little pieces of the tape and shoved them in there. Then I stuck a strip all across the top between the housing and the grill.

Now, it just goes..."hmmmmmm".

That is what got me to thinking you might be able to use the tape. Because it is truly tremendously tactile.
